Event 5 – Automatically Unpublish Event with Rules

This entry is part 21 of 37 in the series NA Service Body Site with Drupal 7

In this video I use the pure magic of the Rules module to

  • Evaluate the value of the event end date when a node is created or modified
  • When the cron runs, it compares the value of the data and the current site time. If the end date is less than the current date, the node is unpublished.
  • Tested and it works

Learn the Rules Framework by Johan Falk (itangelo)

UPDATE: After the video I realized that the ‘Content is Type:Event’ condition is redundant, in the component and in the rule. I removed the condition from the component and left it in the rule. /admin/config/workflow/rules/components/manage/rules_unpublish_node/edit/2
